The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) has extended congratulations to incoming Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and the United National Congress (UNC) on their success in the 2025 General Elections.

In a media release, the Association also congratulated the TPP on securing their victory in Tobago.

The TTMA added that they are committed to working with the new government in advancing the growth and development of the manufacturing sector, which is a critical pillar of national economic resilience and diversification. As such, they look forward to engaging with the administration to support initiatives that enhance the competitiveness of local industry, drive innovation, and expand
exports.

And the American Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago congratulates Prime Minister-Elect Kamla Persad-Bissessar on her victory in Monday’s polls.

The Chamber indicates that the new government’s number one priority has to be to reduce crime.

AMCHAM believes this reduction will be a key element in restoring investor and public confidence. It adds that in tandem with crime reduction, a region-wide education reform is needed to allow young people to take advantage of current and emerging opportunities.

Amcham also says it is ready to work with government to stimulate economic revitalisation and investment.
