T&T And Jamaica Strengthen Trade Ties

Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica are bolstering trade relations as a delegation led by the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association (TTMA) seeks to explore investment opportunities in the Jamaican market while identifying potential sources of inputs for domestic production processes.

During the discussions, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce, Sancia Bennett Templer, encouraged business leaders to broaden their engagement with Jamaica. She emphasised the importance of selling products and exploring investment opportunities.

Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of TTMA, Dr. Ramesh Ramdeen, said trade is a two-way flow, stating that while members of the TTMA delegation are looking to expand its market opportunities in Jamaica, there are some people who are searching for investment prospects.
