On Sunday, bakers from all over Trinidad and Tobago, showcased their skill and creativity at the country’s first Cake Picnic. Chocolate, Sponge, Red Velvet and everything in-between, Cake Picnic T&T is a celebration of all things cake.
Started in the United States in 2024 by baker Elisa Sunga, the Cake Picnic was centred around community and the mutual love of the baked good by professional bakers and cake connoisseurs. Since then, the celebration has taken the world by storm, and on Sunday, Trinidad and Tobago was added to the list.
Owner of The Flavour Paradise Catering Services Limited Keshona Mc Fee loved the idea and sprung into action.
One of the participants, LeeAnn Alexander of Lee Ann’s Cakes, said despite her busy schedule, she could not miss this opportunity to bond with her colleagues and customers.
There will be another opportunity for cake lovers to bond later this year. Ms. Mc Fee said she hopes to make the event bigger and better.
There was also an aspect of competition, as prizes for the Best Decorated Cake and Most Creative Flavour were up for grabs.
