CRIME: Three Charged With Firearm Related Offences, Assault Rifle Found In Baby Crib – Woman Arrested

Three men are expected to appear before a Master of the High Court today, charged with firearm related offences.

Jabari Clarke, Jaheim Mc Sween, and Giovanni Mauge, all of Morvant, were charged with Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammuntion, while Mauge faces the additional charge of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

The trio was charged on Sunday 22nd June, 2025, following their arrest on June 19th, 2025, when they were found to be in possession of one Taurus pistol and 14 rounds of ammunition and a stolen vehicle.

The investigations were spearheaded by Snr. Supt. Thom, Supt. Nicholls and ASP Mongroo, and supervised by Insps. Mohammed and Jagroop and Sgt. Bowen and included PCs Buchoon and Waldron.

Meanwhile, a 33-year-old female Dominican Republic national was arrested for possession of a firearm and ammunition.

This follows an intelligence-led operation conducted in the Central Division between 8 pm and 11 pm, on Sunday 22nd June, 2025.

During the exercise, officers of the Gang Unit and Arima Intelligence and Operations Team proceeded to the Cunupia district where they conducted a search of a house.

A female suspect who was in the house with a baby at the time of the exercise is alleged to have displayed suspicious behaviour and attempted to hide an object under a crib mattress.

The object was found to be an AR-15 rifle, loaded with a magazine, containing 100 rounds of 5.56 ammunition.

The woman was arrested in connection with the find.

The operation was supervised by W/Sgt. Ramai and Sgt. Caesar.

And, one firearm and a quantity of ammunition were found by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force, during an intelligence-led operation conducted in the North Central Division between 11 am and 5 pm, on Sunday 22nd June, 2025.

During the exercise, officers were on mobile patrol in the Piarco district, when they stopped and conducted a search of an area where two men were observed earlier.

The search resulted in the discovery of one Beretta pistol, loaded with four rounds of ammunition.

The operation was spearheaded by DCP Martin, directed by ACP Hazel and coordinated by Snr. Supt. Spence and Supt. Ramsook.

Investigations are ongoing into the above matter.
