Police in Tobago are searching for three men who reportedly attempted to break into a First Citizens ATM in Castara on Monday morning.
According to police, around 3:55am, officers of the Divisional Task Force responded to a telephone report that three men were attempting to break into the ATM using a blowtorch.
When officers arrived, they met with personnel from Amalgamated Security Services, who said they had also received a report of the attempted break-in. Police observed that the rear door of the ATM area was ajar, and the locks on three doors had been torched and removed. There were also signs that attempts had been made to torch the vault.
Investigations are continuing.
