Plans are in the works to establish a national Steelpan manufacturing plant by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.
The announcement was made by Chairman of the National Carnival Commission, Peter Kanhai, who also revealed that India has signed on as a partner, opening the door to a market of over a billion people.
