SHE Drive Supports Over 100 Women Ahead Of August Health Fair

The Freeport Medical Centre is supporting and empowering women with over 100 care packages as part of their latest initiative, SHE Drive.

The initiative began in June 2025 and is in its final stretch at the end of July.

Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer at Freeport Medical Centre, Dr. Rohit Dass, explained the significance of the project.

“What we have done was we have organised donations of women’s care packages, including sanitary pads, hair care products, moisturisers, and different types of products. We put it together, and we are giving to the needy women and persons who are underprivileged.”

On August 17th, the medical centre will host a day full of activities, including a 5k, a family fun day, and a health fair.

“It’s starting from eight in the morning with the 5k. It’s starting at our medical centre at Freeport and is going to be ending in the Arena Grounds Savannah in Freeport also.”

The health fair will include medical check-ups, screenings on different health issues, mental health advice, and more.

“We are going to have the health fair, and the health fair we have, it’s well planned and properly organised. We are going to have numerous doctors and different booths and persons coming to give of their time for health screening. We’ll be having different companies doing giveaways, etcetera, on the day, and we are going to be having advice on mental health and different health issues.”

Dr. Dass encourages all to attend the free event taking place from 8am to 4pm in Freeport.
