Certified Copy, Ticket Payments Go Digital

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation’s Transport Division will be launching two new online services that will simplify the certified copy and traffic payment systems for many applicants and traffic offenders.

At Thursday’s Post-Cabinet Media Conference, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Eli Zakour, said motorists can now get their certified copy delivered to their homes or offices, or even opt to collect it at various TTConnect locations after making an online payment.

“Persons could go online, pay, and receive their certified copy in the mail.”

He gave a breakdown of the cost of the new service, which will be launched very soon.

“Delivery to TT Connect locations will be $130.77. A further breakdown: certified copy: $100. TTPost fee: $27. Bank and convenience fee: $3.77. Delivery to home or office: $158.99. That will be $100 for the copy, $55 for the TTPost fee, and $3.99 for the convenience and the bank fee.”

Traffic offenders will also benefit from one of the new developments, as the new traffic payment system will allow them to pay their tickets online. It’s as easy as scanning the QR code on the fixed penalty ticket, which will take them to the relevant website.

“There will be a fee of $2.75 bank fee, and 0.8% value of the ticket.”

The traffic payment system will be launched at the end of August.
