Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC has vowed to put an end to State-sponsored criminality.
Speaking to supporters as her party, the United National Congress, gave an account of its first 100 days in office at the Couva South Multi-Purpose Hall on Monday night, she said the crackdown on CEPEP and URP has triggered fierce resistance from deep-rooted criminal networks and has led to the mobilisation of forces against those in government who are leading the charge.
She shared that even some of her Ministers have received threats as a result, but the government will not be deterred because everything they are doing is for the long-term benefit of citizens.
