VENTURE Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited is advising that it has successfully recovered from a ransomware attack, and none of its core banking data has been compromised.
In a media release, the institution said it has successfully recovered from a ransomware attack which occurred on Friday July 18th, 2025.
Venture said its robust cybersecurity measures and the swift action of its ICT Department detected and neutralised the malicious attempt.
However, the credit union acknowledged that some personally identifiable information had been leaked, and said its team is currently assessing the extent of the breach and will contact affected members directly.
