Three Delegates To Represent T&T At Miss World India Worldwide Pageant

Grace, purpose, and patriotism were all on display as Pageant Worldwide TT hosted a special send-off ceremony for the women who will be carrying the red, white, and black to Mumbai, India, for the Miss World India Worldwide Pageant.

The three delegates, Kiarra Salickram, Jayda Ramjattan, and Divya Chaitoo, will represent Trinidad and Tobago at the international pageant on August 29th.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Community Development, Dr Narindra Roopnarine, reminded them that the pageant is more than just an opportunity to showcase their beauty.

“It is a responsibility, but more importantly, it is a beautiful opportunity to showcase not only our glamour but also the richness of our cultural heritage, the strength of our voices, and the vision of our youth. At the heart of every pageant lies more than beauty. It is a platform, and speakers before me have said this, that it ignites youth development.”

Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Khadijah Ameen, assured the delegates of the government’s full support throughout their journey.

“When you step out to Mumbai, you will not be alone. You will be carrying the hopes and the love of your family, of the people of Trinidad and Tobago, our communities, and our country with you. That is not to put any extra pressure on you. It is just to let you know how much love that you have with you.”

Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Barry Padarath, also extended well wishes to the delegates. He reminded them that the pageant serves as a stepping stone for greater opportunities ahead.

“So when you go there, immerse yourself. Enjoy every experience. There’s only going to be one winner, but you are going there already a winner. So have fun, enjoy yourself, represent your country to the best of your ability.”

Miss Teen India Worldwide Trinidad and Tobago 2025, Jayda Ramjattan, said she is excited to represent T&T in the upcoming pageant.

“I’ve learnt that a crown is not just an accessory. It’s a symbol of responsibility and a platform to inspire and create positive change. I’m ready to represent our nation with pride in August.”
