Road Safety Officer Urges Vigilance After PTSC Bus Driver And Passenger Killed In Highway Crash

Police Road Safety Officer Brent Batson has described as “disturbing” the early morning crash on the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway that claimed two lives.

The accident involved a Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) bus and a truck on Tuesday morning.

Speaking to TTT News, Mr Batson confirmed that there were two fatalities – the driver of the PTSC bus and a passenger on board.

Following this incident, he urged motorists to be extra vigilant on the nation’s roads.

“It’s disturbing because to have these types of incidents occurring on a Tuesday morning, that’s a bit of an anomaly from our data standpoint. But it also goes to show just how quickly, you know, accidents can occur on a roadway and why it’s so important for us to always be attentive as motorists to what’s happening around us.”
