Airports Authority Board, THA Chief Tour New Terminal At ANR Robinson International Airport

On September 22nd, 2025, the Chairman of Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (“the Authority”), Mr. Aaron Henry, together with Members of the Board of the Authority, the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), the Honourable Farley Augustine, the Liaison Coordinator in the Office of the Prime Minister, Mr. Ashworth Jack, and Senior Managers of the Authority, conducted an official tour of the new Eastern Terminal at the ANR Robinson International Airport, Tobago.

This tour was convened in recognition of the Tobago House of Assembly as a major stakeholder in the development of this landmark project and as a demonstration of the collaborative approach required to bring the new terminal into full operation.

The Chairman of the Authority underscored the importance of the tour, stating: “We recognise the need to work in close collaboration with the Tobago House of Assembly. Remarkably, this was the Chief Secretary’s first tour of the facility. I believe it is necessary for him to have a first-hand appreciation of the project and its status. Our visit highlights the level of engagement and cooperation necessary to achieve the successful completion and operationalisation of the new terminal.”

The visit also afforded the recently appointed Board Members of the Authority an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the terminal and gain deeper insight to make informed decisions in relation to the new Terminal. The Eastern Terminal project is now in its final stages, with the transition process from the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) as Project Manager, to the Authority, as Operator, on the way. Critical airside works, which are crucial to the completion of the project, remain ongoing.

The Chairman further affirmed that: “The Authority will continue to work hand-in-hand with the Office of the Prime Minister and the Office of the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly to ensure that the new terminal is commissioned and becomes fully operational at the earliest possible time.”
