The Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department (CID) has arrested and charged a suspect in connection with a Robbery with Violence and Malicious Wounding incident that occurred on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at The Shoppes of Cunapo, located at the corner of Eastern Main Road and Cunapo Southern Main Road, Sangre Grande.
After an extensive investigation led by PC Budhooram, and supervised by Inspector Harper, Cpls Maharaj and Mahadeo, the suspect, a 29-year-old man of Madoosingh Drive, Ojoe Road, Sangre Grande, was arrested by officers of the Eastern Division Task Force (EDTF) on September 24th, 2025.
Following legal consultation on September 28th, 2025, investigators received instructions to formally charge the suspect with the following offences:
1. Robbery with Violence
2. Malicious Wounding
Charges were officially laid by PC Budhooram of the Sangre Grande CID. The matter is scheduled for hearing at the North Master’s Court, today, Monday, September 29th, 2025.
