Trinidad and Tobago Paralympian Akeem Stewart won silver in the men’s discus F-44 final at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, India.
In the final, which took place at 7:30am TT time on Friday, Stewart produced a season’s best throw of 59.64 metres. He finished just behind Colombia’s Andres Neira who won gold. Dan Greaves of Great Britain placed third.
Stewart’s silver medal adds to a resume which includes a Paralympics silver medal, along with winning gold at the 2017 World Para-Athletics Championships in London in the men’s javelin and shot put.
