Investigators were called to the scene of a shooting incident in Mt. Hope on Tuesday, which left two brothers dead and another relative in a critical condition in hospital.
According to reports, 15-year-old Jovel Paul, his 22-year-old brother, Rodney Slater, and their cousin Coby Best were standing along Mt. Hope Extension just after 12pm when gunmen, armed with high-powered weapons, opened fire on them.
Police are searching for the gunmen, who escaped on foot.
In a separate incident, two Diego Martin men were shot dead in San Juan last evening.
According to police, the victims were identified as 61-year-old James Marine and 36-year-old Kevon Boucage.
Officers responded to reports of a loud explosion in Moses Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the men lying motionless in a blue Toyota Tercel motor vehicle with gunshot wounds to the body and head.
A District Medical Officer pronounced the men dead at the scene. A motive is still to be determined.
