NCRHA Advances Talks To Address Nursing Concerns And Strengthen Frontline Care

The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) is advancing talks with the Public Services Association (PSA) and the Trinidad and Tobago Registered Nurses’ Association (TTRNA) to address nursing-related concerns and improve operations across its facilities.

NCRHA Chairman Dr. Tim Gopeesingh said all 893 nursing positions are currently filled, and the Authority has advertised more than 300 new vacancies for Enrolled Nursing Assistants to strengthen frontline care.

The NCRHA is also moving to promote about forty acting head nurses — a process left pending for years — to open up more opportunities within the system.

The new Board, now two months in office, has stated that it remains focused on fixing long-standing administrative gaps, supporting staff, and ensuring better patient care for the public.
