The Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Khadijah Ameen, formally presented the Instruments of Appointment to the newly appointed Board of Directors of the Rural Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (RDCTT) during an official ceremony held earlier today at the Ministry’s Head Office at Kent House in Maraval.
The newly appointed Board will be chaired by Mr. Raees Patel, who will lead the team in advancing the RDCTT’s mission to support the Ministry’s mandate through the execution of sustainable infrastructure projects, the empowerment of rural communities, and the enhancement of local economic development
across Trinidad.
In delivering her feature address, Minister Ameen congratulated the new appointees and emphasized the crucial role of the RDCTT in implementing the Government’s rural transformation agenda. She reaffirmed that the work of the Company directly aligns with the national development vision of the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bissessar SC, Prime Minister, whose administration continues to roll out a comprehensive plan for transformation and development aimed at driving the economic recovery of Trinidad and Tobago.
“We have a clear mandate to be part of the Prime Minister’s vision for this country,” Minister Ameen stated. “Our projects must be within budget and on time, with boots on the ground, ensuring that we are hands-on in our service to the people—regardless of political affiliation—and that every action is guided by integrity and accountability.”
