The Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs has announced the appointment of cricket legends Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard as official Ambassadors for Sport in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
In a release, the Ministry stated that the appointments reflect the Government’s commitment to “honouring outstanding national performers whose achievements inspire citizens and enhance Trinidad and Tobago’s global image.”
The two will now represent the nation internationally, championing the values of “excellence, teamwork, and national pride.”
Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, both former West Indies captains, have been recognised for their leadership and global impact in cricket. Bravo, also known for his cultural influence and music, received the Hummingbird Medal (Gold) in 2015. Pollard has earned widespread respect for his professionalism and success in international and franchise cricket, consistently representing Trinidad and Tobago on the world stage.
