Night 3 of the Northern Region’s Single Pan Band Preliminaries ended on a high note on Wednesday as seven bands took to the stage to showcase the national instrument – the steelpan.
The first to shine was the UNI Stars Steel Orchestra, playing Mighty Sparrow’s “Marajhin.” La Creole Pan Groove stormed the stage, performing Ken ‘Professor’ Philmore’s “Pan by Storm” which was arranged by Sylbert Ash. The Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service Steel Orchestra also performed their rendition of Mighty Sparrow’s “Doh Back Back.”
Twenty-five bands will participate in the finals of the National Panorama 2026 Single Pan Band competition, which will take place on November 29th.
This year’s Panorama theme, “Legacy – Ours to Love, Ours to Cherish” spans from October 2025 to February 2026.
