Christmas came early for the children of the Blind Welfare Association as Member of Parliament for Barataria/San Juan, Saddam Hosein stepped into the role of Santa to distribute gifts, toys and lunch to blind and visually impaired children in his constituency.
The MP noted, that keeping in the season of giving, all constituencies are expected to benefit from this initiative aimed at assisting the vulnerable and underprivileged around the country. MP Hosein said that each MP was allocated 250 food cards, which were being distributed from his office and other constituencies in Trinidad and Tobago.
According to President of the Blind Welfare Association, Felix Cazoe, the event underscores a significant move made by the government, one that shines light on diversity, equity and inclusion.
