Encouraging better health for the nation in this festive Christmas season was the aim of the Health and Nutrition Association of Trinidad and Tobago’s 5K on Saturday.
At the event in Chaguanas, Minister of Health Dr. Lackram Bodoe said the Ministry was pleased to partner with the organisation in support of curbing Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and other illnesses.
He was very happy that 700 participants came out to take part in the venture, including young people.
He noted that the issue of childhood obesity requires all the support it can get, as he personally demonstrated his commitment by taking part in the FITMAS 5K, encouraging healthier lifestyles through action as well as advocacy.
