St. Benedict’s College finished runners-up in the KFC Goodwill International Football Tournament, held in Georgetown, Guyana.
Their defeat came at the hands of defending champions Chase’s Academic Foundation of Guyana, which won 5-4 on penalties in Sunday’s final at the Ministry of Education Grounds.
With the match ending 0-0 in normal time, Form Two student Jaylen Carrington missed the decisive spot-kick for St. Benedict’s before ultimately losing the shootout.
