The Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) has announced the creation of additional special polling stations for the January 12th, 2026, Tobago House of Assembly elections.
A release from the EBC states that pursuant to Election rule 76 of Representation of the People Act, Chapter 2:01, additional Special Polling Stations have been established by the EBC to facilitate Special Electors.
These additional Special Polling Stations are located both in Tobago and Trinidad and will function as follows:
– In the Printing Unit of the EBC, at Henry Street, Port of Spain and the Registration Area Office for San Fernando and Penal/Debe in San Fernando from Tuesday 6th January to Thursday 8th January, 2026 between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
– In Tobago, it will operate from the Registration Area Office for at the Caroline Building in Scarborough from Tuesday 6th January to Thursday 8th January, 2026 between the hours of 9am and 3pm
The EBC says any special elector may vote at any of these additional special polling stations, irrespective of the electoral district in which they are registered.
