The Eastern Regional Health Authority (ERHA) has welcomed the first baby born of 2026 at the Sangre Grande Hospital Campus.
Baby Ethan was born on January 1st at 1:11am to mum Adanna Ward from Malabar. Later in the morning, at 8:45am, Zennesha Sooklal also gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
Ms. Ward was presented with a hamper filled with baby products by ERHA Chairman Dr. Sandeep Maharaj, Chief Executive Officer Angelina Rampersad-Pierre, and staff at the maternity ward.
All mothers and mothers-to-be on the ward were also presented with gift bags.
