The Ministry of Defence wishes to advise that Trinidad and Tobago’s airspace remains open.
By way of update, flights leaving the US within the last 12 hours were instructed by the US Federal Aviation Authority to return to the US including a Jetblue flight bound for Trinidad which received instructions minutes after take-off from JFK International Airport.
Due to the US Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) ban on US commercial flights in Venezuelan airspace, the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT) advised that the following airlines have cancelled flights:
i. KLM;
ii. United Airlines;
iii. American Airlines;
iv. Jet Blue; and
v. Amerijet Cargo
