Ninety Truckloads Of Garbage Cleared From Claxton Bay Flyover

Ninety truckloads of garbage have been removed from the Claxton Bay Flyover in the last two days during a massive cleanup exercise.

The clean‑up exercise was conducted by the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation in collaboration with the Solid Waste Management Company Limited (SWMCOL).

Chairman of the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation, Ryan Rampersad, told TTT News most of the activity took place along the roadway leading to the Forres Park landfill.

Mr. Rampersad adds that a sensitisation campaign has also been started for those persons who are known for pulling garbage off the trucks heading into the landfill.
