Nearly one week after highlighting the illegal dumping of tyres in Claxton Bay, Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has confirmed that the tyres were removed from the Forres Park Trace illegal dump site.
She said, “The tyre shop owner has been instructed to clean the property, and the owner will be fined by litter wardens for the illegal dumping of rubbish.”
The Prime Minister thanked the TTPS for their efforts in this matter and encouraged citizens to take pride in their surroundings.
“Let us all take pride in our communities and our country, stop illegal dumping, clean up after ourselves, and help keep Trinidad and Tobago clean and respected.”
