Tunapuna MP Roger Alexander Hosts Carnival Burnout

Members of the Tunapuna community traded party wear for workout gear on Saturday morning, as Carnival met cardio at a fitness burnout hosted by the area’s Member of Parliament, Roger Alexander.

Music pumping and energy high, residents of Tunapuna turned out in their numbers on Saturday morning for a Carnival fitness burn-out hosted by thier Member of Parliament, Roger Alexander.

The workout brought together people of all ages as part of an effort to promote healthy living.

“A man’s health is his wealth. You can be rich in terms of finances, but your health will take you a long, long way. And that’s one of the things I would love for my constituents, to be able to be healthy, so they can live long, healthy lives.”

Member of Parliament for Tunapuna, Roger Alexander assured that this burnout will not only be limited to the carnival season.

“It’s going to be an annual thing, and we might even have some little pieces between now and then, probably mid -year, just before school open, all these things, and just keeping them active.”

Manager of the Under 16 National Netball Team Jody Sprott expressed gratitude for the MP’s invitation to the burnout.

The carnival Fitness burnout took place at the Tunapuna Constituency office on Saturday.
