After scoring his first goal for the Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Under-17 Football Team, Finn De Freitas is brimming with confidence.
He believes his side can defeat Mexico in their final Group A match of the Concacaf Under-17 Men’s World Cup Qualifiers.
The showdown kicks off at 7pm on Thursday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, with second-place T&T needing a victory to leapfrog Mexico at the top of the group and secure an automatic spot in the next round.
“I think it’s more or less the same. We treat it like every game, but there’s going to be a difficult challenge. I think we have to keep motivation high, but it starts with our belief, and I think that our team is capable of beating them. We just have to make sure that everyone’s on the same page with the same mindset and just go out on the day.”
