In a significant step towards strengthening technical education and workforce readiness in Trinidad and Tobago, the NESC Technical Institute has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with National Petroleum Marketing Company Limited under the Point Lisas Industrial Apprenticeship Programme.
Solomon Mayers, manager, Point Lisas Industrial Apprenticeship Programme at NESC Technical Institute, along with two apprentices, joins Virmala to explore how the programme addresses the long-standing gap between theory and practice, its potential as a national model for internship-based training, and its broader role in tackling youth unemployment.
