Minister of Homeland Security, Roger Alexander, is urging migrants to take advantage of the current Migrant Registration Framework.
This, as the “in-person” interviews as part of the process commenced on Monday.
Speaking to reporters at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Minister Alexander reminded of the consequences for migrants if they fail to register.
“If we provided something for you, for your own benefit, then come. Come and register. That’s all we ask. If you fail to, then the consequences must be yours. You see, what we doing here is something that should’ve been done in the first instance, and it was recklessly done. We are changing the game.”
Last Wednesday, February 25th, was the final day for online registration.
In-person interviews began today at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima, and Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva and will continue until March 27th.
Registration in Tobago will commence tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, until next Wednesday, March 11th.
