Republic Bank Limited is helping to put Trinidad and Tobago’s student footballers on the global stage.
The bank’s College Showcase 2026 falls under Republic Bank’s Power to Make a Difference Programme, specifically its “Power to Succeed” pillar.
The event is bringing seven international football coaches and scouts from Sweden, the United States, and Canada to evaluate more than 100 teenage hopefuls this weekend at the bank’s sports club in Barataria and also in Tobago.
Manager of the Republic Bank Group Brand Management, Reena Gopaul, said, “The role of Republic Bank in this sphere is to allow the students opportunities for international exposure for their sport development. And in that, we would also like them to focus on their academic development because both go hand in hand. And we really want the children to be able to develop themselves, develop teamwork, discipline, academic structure and focus in their lives. This would allow them to be on a platform for success in the future.”
