Caribbean countries are working to strengthen the regulation of hazardous chemicals and crack down on the illegal trafficking of pesticides through a regional capacity-building workshop under the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions.
Representatives from 14 countries are meeting to address challenges ranging from enforcement and trade controls to chemical waste management and inter-agency collaboration.
