Trinidad and Tobago Red Force are the 2026 West Indies Championship champions.
The Red Force dismantled defending champions Guyana Harpy Eagles by 141 runs at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium on Wednesday, halting Guyana’s bid for a fourth straight title and what would have been their ninth crown in eleven seasons.
Chasing 281 on the final day, Guyana’s batting crumbled for 139 in 39 overs. Terrance Hinds took 3 for 30, Jayden Seales 3 for 39, with Joshua James and Anderson Phillip cleaning up the tail. Only Kevlon Anderson’s 41 offered any resistance.
The foundation was built across three days of seesaw cricket. A 13-run first-innings lead set the platform, and Evin Lewis delivered the knockout blow, a commanding 122 anchoring Trinidad and Tobago’s second innings of 267 and setting a target Guyana could never realistically chase.
When the final wicket fell Wednesday afternoon, two decades of hurt ended.
