Commissioner of Police, Allister Guevarro, speaking during a media briefing today, stated that after review of the investigative file and consultation with the DPP, investigators were directed to proceed with a
series of criminal charges arising out of the events which unfolded on that day.
The Commissioner, however, emphasised that at this stage no individual is currently in custody or formally charged in connection with the matter.
As a result, further details regarding the number or nature of the charges cannot yet be disclosed.
The Commissioner further indicated that investigators have since been directed accordingly and that he is presently awaiting additional feedback before providing any further update on the matter.
