Despite losing 3–0 to Russia in an international friendly on Tuesday, the head coach of the Trinidad and Tobago Senior Men’s Football Team, Derek King, referred to the match as a good exercise for his team.
T&T has now conceded eight goals in their last two matches and remains without a win in its last eight matches.
Their last victory came against Bermuda in October 2025.
