IWRN Calls For Greater Focus On Men’s Emotional Health

The Head of the International Women’s Resource Network, Adriana Sandrine Rattan Isaac, is renewing calls for greater focus on men’s emotional intelligence and stronger peer support systems following a reported domestic violence incident.

She says more must be done to help men recognise and manage their emotions before situations escalate into violence.

Her comments come after police said a woman believed to be pregnant was allegedly stabbed about 15 times at an apartment in Mt Lambert.

Police say the suspect then allegedly attempted to take his own life before being taken into custody.

The woman remains in critical condition, and investigations are ongoing.
