“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to thousands of students across Trinidad and Tobago as they receive their Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) results today.
This is an important milestone in your lives, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
I urge every student to remember that one examination does not define your future. Your character, determination, willingness to learn, and commitment to hard work will do far more to shape your success than any single examination ever could.
I also congratulate your parents, guardians and teachers, whose love, encouragement, sacrifices and unwavering support have helped you reach this important day.
Parents, please celebrate your child’s achievement and continue to support and encourage them, regardless of which secondary school they attend.
It is ultimately the values instilled at home, together with sustained love, guidance and encouragement, which will have the greatest influence on your child’s future success.
When the new academic term begins in September, our incoming Form One students can look forward to new opportunities and experiences. They will all receive free laptops as my Government continues to modernise education and build safer schools where every child can learn, grow and thrive.
Today truly marks the beginning of a future filled with opportunity, new friendships and new discoveries.
I am confident that, with the continued support of their families, teachers and communities, our wonderful students will embrace every opportunity before them, fulfil their best potential and help build an even stronger Trinidad and Tobago. May God continue to bless and guide them every step of the way.”
