Angostura has stepped in to support relief efforts in Venezuela, donating more than 500 cases of its Angostura Chill carbonated beverage to aid communities affected by the earthquake that struck the country in June 2026.
The shipment includes both the Lemon Lime and Bitters and Sorrel and Bitters variants of the drink, and is intended to help meet the immediate beverage needs of individuals and families displaced or otherwise affected by the disaster. The company says the donation will be routed through designated relief channels to reach the hardest-hit areas.
Angostura framed the gesture as an extension of its broader commitment to corporate citizenship and regional solidarity, noting that as a Caribbean company it sees a responsibility to support neighbouring territories in times of hardship — and that meaningful disaster recovery typically requires support well beyond the initial emergency response.
Chief Executive Officer Ian Forbes said businesses have an obligation to support communities beyond their own borders during difficult periods, adding that the company hopes the donation will aid Venezuela’s recovery and reflects a belief that the private sector has a real part to play in helping communities rebuild.
Chairman Gary Hunt echoed that sentiment, stressing that responding to a disaster of this scale calls for coordinated action across governments, relief organisations and private companies alike, and said Angostura was proud to contribute to that collective effort.
The company said the donation is part of its ongoing efforts across the Caribbean and Latin America to support community development, disaster response and social wellbeing through partnerships and social investment.
