Bristol City have signed Trinidad and Tobago full-back Rio Cardines on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace.
The 20-year-old joins Bristol City to add much-needed depth at the back.
Cardines came through the Arsenal academy before switching to Crystal Palace at under-16 level.
He made his Premier League debut against Arsenal last season and was in the squad when Palace beat Rayo Vallecano to win the UEFA Conference League.
He has earned 11 caps for Trinidad and Tobago since his senior debut last May.
Bristol City manager Michael Skubala says the versatile defender adds quality and hunger to the squad, while Sporting Director James Ellis praised his pedigree and the dynamism he brings from deeper positions.
