With football leagues across European having begun and some soon to begin, we take a look at some the latest transfer activity as teams look to bolster their ranks for the new season.
Spain’s World Cup-winning forward, Ferran Torres has joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona signing with the French champions until 2031.
The 26-year-old scored the decisive extra-time goal against Argentina to secure Spain’s second men’s World Cup title last month, capping off a strong season at Barcelona where he netted 21 goals in 49 appearances and helped the club win La Liga.
Torres becomes PSG’s second major attacking signing of the transfer window.
In other transfer news, Tottenham defender Djed Spence has completed a £30m move to Inter Milan, with Spurs including a 10% sell-on clause.
Spence, a standout in England’s third-place FIFA World Cup finish, faced limited opportunities at Spurs and joins Inter as their new right wing-back after the club failed to secure Moussa Diaby from Al Ittihad.
Tottenham captain and Argentina defender Cristian Romero has completed his £34.2m move to spanish side Atletico Madrid.
The move sees Spurs retain a 15 per cent sell-on clause as part of the deal that has seen him pen a five-year deal.
