175 Years In The Saddle: TTPS Mounted Branch Celebrates Milestone

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Mounted Branch is celebrating 175 years of service to the nation.

The milestone was marked on Saturday with a commemorative ride through Woodbrook and St Clair, bringing together past and present mounted officers in tribute to the branch’s rich history and tradition.

The parade was led by Acting W/Supt. Bain-Keller, Head of the Mounted Branch, and also included members of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, among them Coast Guard Commander R. Frederick, as well as retired officers Sgt. Thomas and Cpl. Gittens.

The event highlighted the Mounted Branch’s long-standing commitment to discipline, professionalism and community service, while reflecting the strong partnership between the country’s security services.

Officials say the anniversary not only honoured generations of dedicated officers but also celebrated the continuing role of the Mounted Branch within the TTPS.
