Trinidad and Tobago has secured a podium position at the 2026 World Sailing Inclusion Championships in Portimão, Portugal, with Ivan Stollmeyer currently sitting third in the Para Intellectual Impairment ILCA 6 category.
A contingent of 10 para-inclusive athletes, including six athletes with disabilities and four support athletes, along with one coach, travelled to Portugal to represent T&T at the international event.
The championship features athletes with visual, intellectual and physical impairments, highlighting the growth of inclusive sailing worldwide.
Team Trinidad and Tobago’s participation marks a significant step in promoting accessibility in the sport and expanding opportunities for athletes of all abilities.
