A group of Belmont residents staged a noisy protest on Wednesday to complain about their inadequate water supply.
A representative for the residents, John Rampersad, said they’ve gone 16 days with out a proper supply of water. Mr. Rampersad added that it was only when he gave a live television interview about the issue that water returned to their taps.
Mr. Rampersad is also pleading for a truck-borne supply to assist residents while threatening an escalation in the protests if the area’s water needs are not addressed.
