A high level hemispheric Social Development Meeting came off yesterday, Friday.
Its theme was “Strengthening Hemispheric Cooperation towards Resilient Reconstruction and Sustainable Social Development in the Americas.” It was the fifth meeting of its kind attended by Ministers and High Authorities in the Social Development area.

Our Minister of Social Development and Family Services Donna Cox participated in the meeting which was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from November 17th to 18th.
Minister Cox spoke to the mechanisms implemented by the government though her Ministry and informed the panel of digitalization efforts and ongoing projects, inclusive of the National Registry for Vulnerable Persons.
The meeting is aimed at promoting social development in the region. It will also provide a platform for Ministers to agree on measures that can advance and consolidate resilient, inclusive and social protection systems.
