Band Leaders, Police Address Carnival Route And Operations

Band leaders have expressed concern regarding parade route management and recurring logistical challenges that arise during Carnival operations.

This came as they met with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service and the National Carnival Commission on Tuesday.

In an immediate response to their concerns, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Gold Commander for Carnival, DCP Suzette Martin, told the stakeholders that it is important they ensure early registration, route compliance, and inter-agency coordination.

She reaffirmed the TTPS’ commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve operational bottlenecks.

The Carnival Gold Commander also reminded the band leaders that all music trucks must meet TTPS and Transport Division specifications.

DCP Martin reiterated that responsible planning, regulatory compliance, and mutual cooperation will guarantee a safe, orderly, and world-class Carnival experience for all.
