The Beetham Landfill Site will return to normal operating hours on Thursday, January 8th, 2026, following a recent fire incident that temporarily disrupted operations, the Trinidad and Tobago Solid Waste Management Company Ltd (SWMCOL) announced today.
The facility will resume its standard operating schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., marking the end of a period of restricted access that affected waste disposal services across Trinidad and Tobago.
In a news release issued Wednesday, SWMCOL expressed gratitude to the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) for their critical role in containing the fire incident at the site. The company also thanked members of the public for their patience and cooperation during the disruption.
