Vendors are reportedly optimistic about the new Flavour Village located at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
As workers put the final touches on the space, which includes dining areas, public washrooms and a stage, President of the Carnival Entrepreneurs Association, David Baptiste, called the arrangement innovative, noting that his members are eager for the opening.
“We are excited to see what will happen, what direction it’s going, and we can’t wait for it to happen. My membership, we getting the opportunity to do something new, right? We getting the opportunity to do something new, and, you know, we just had to go with it, go with the flow.”
President of the Association of Local Culinary Ambassadors, Michael Williams, noted that customers will experience their favourite local offerings and encouraged them to participate in the new ambience. His members include vendors who usually operate at the Queen’s Park Savannah weekly, and who have been integrated into the Village.
“The vendors are so excited that they don’t have enough room for everybody, and I welcome it as the president and I know as somebody being part of it, it’s going to be great, and we’re inviting the whole world to the best Carnival, the biggest Carnival, right? Come to the Queen’s Park Savannah and enjoy, take a nice taste of everything local for this Carnival 2026.”
