Member of Parliament for Chaguanas East, Vandana Mohit, is calling for the establishment of a Mobile Police Unit in Chaguanas.
Speaking at a breakfast meeting hosted by the Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce, she suggested that the unit be stationed in the vicinity of Price Plaza.
She noted that the initiative could serve a dual purpose: functioning as both a rapid response team and a community outreach mechanism.
The MP said she believes such a move could support communities and businesses in the area, amid growing concerns over crime.
